1. Tell us any recent changes (news) at Moody/Chattanooga?

We’re adding a new fulltime position to the team. Morning News and Listener Engagement. Information at www.MoodyGlobal.org/careers

2. What is the best programming advice you've been given? The worst?

Best programming advice – Methods can and should update every day to best reach your target, but the message never changes.

3. Regarding your career, what are you most proud of?

2 Corinthians 10:17 “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” So I guess the thing I’m most proud of is that God chooses to use me to lead others to Him.

4. What is the ONE thing you must have everyday to do your job?

Food. Physical AND Spiritual.

5. Where will future Christian radio air talent come from?

I believe that being a follower of Jesus in the world today will continue to get harder and harder. Even more so for Christians in the public eye. Our future air talent will come from individuals who are willing to count the cost and follow after Christ with new and innovative ideas despite public persecution.

6. Do you feel syndication is good or bad for Christian radio?

Syndication in and of itself is not necessarily good or bad. Some shows are excellent in syndication. However, no matter what you have on the air nothing will ever replace personalized customer service both on and off the air.

7. Generally speaking to the industry what are the biggest obstacles facing Christian radio?

Our culture is becoming more secular every day. Who are the new innovators that will winsomely and bravely live out the gospel and lead others to Christ for the glory of God…even as it becomes more and more unpopular. These up and coming innovators must be completely dedicated to the cause of Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, dedicated in prayer, and unashamedly holding to the word of God. Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
