WAY-FM listeners help provide healing for hundreds of kids!
Pictured at left: WAY FM’s Wally was able to get a big smile out of Habsou, an 11yr old girl recovering from surgery for her bowed legs at the CURE hospital in Niamey, Niger.
CURE International heals kids with correctable disabilities and shares the good news of God’s love with them.
Earlier this month, Wally from the WAY-FM Morning Show saw the work of CURE firsthand during his visit to the CURE hospital in the western Africa country of Niger.
Upon return to the states, The Wally Show teamed up with the syndicated Brant Hansen Show, heard middays on WAY-FM, to raise funds to help heal kids in CURE hospitals around the world.
“I’ve never seen anything like this before. An unprecedented $587,883 was raised to pay for surgeries during the 3 day event. We hit 120% of the goal and, over a week after the on-air event ended, listeners continue to give,” according to Paul Goldsmith, who manages radio campaigns for CURE.
