KKJM/St Cloud PD
Scott Michaels reports to HisAir.Net about some changes at
his station. The station will now be known as "Spirit 92.9"
and air all Christmas Music thru Christmas Day backed by a
90 showing on local billboards. After Christmas KKJM music
will be programmed locally instead of from the Salem Music
Network. Also the stations morning show will now begin at

Former
Seagram and Universal Music head Edgar Bronfman, Jr. and an
investor group including
Thomas H. Lee equity firm,
Providence Equity Partners, and Bain Capital,
has
reached a deal to purchase Warner Music Group for $2.6
billion in cash and other considerations from Time Warner,
Inc., according to a Warner Music Group press release. The
deal would create one of the world’s largest independent
music companies. Warner Music Group is home to Atlantic and
Elektra Records,
Word
Entertainment,
and Warner/Chappell Music, one of the industry’s largest
music publishing companies with more than one million

99.1/New York's rings in the holidays with all Christmas music beginning
Thanksgiving afternoon. "People love the Christmas season and at STAR 99.1, we
believe every day should be Christmas!" says Program Director and Morning Show
host, Johnny Stone. Christmas is traditionally known as the "Season of Giving"
and Stone
will be getting a head start on that by giving his time serving Thanksgiving
dinner at the New York Rescue Mission in New York City. (11/21)

KDJZ/Fargo, KSBS/Little rock, KJKL/Grants Pass, and

presented the Bay Area with one of the most acclaimed
tours of 2003, featuring Jars of Clay, Caedmon’s Call, and
opening act Steven Delopoulos on Saturday, November 8 in

Family Radio (AFR) plans a network wide Sharathon unlike
any other for December 3-5. The Great Adventure Sharathon
will include a 2,000 mile road tour that visits 8 of AFR's
largest markets. Morning host JJ Jasper will headline the
tour and will be joined on-air each morning by Kandi
Anderson, manager of AFR station WAOY (Gulfport, MS). Judy
Chapman (mother of Steven Curtis Chapman and a loyal AFR
listener) will be on hand to help kick off the tour in her
hometown of Paducah, KY on Monday, December 1st. Other
cities on the tour include Topeka and Wichita, KS, Lawton,
OK, Houston, TX, Lake Charles and Lafayette, LA. The five
day tour ends on Friday, December 5th in Little Rock, AR.
Each stop will include a listener rally and lots of give
away's. Christian music artist Allan Asbury will also be
in studio for the American Family Radio sharathon December

has decided to air all Christmas music (except morning
drive) from November 26th thru Christmas. The "Fish" also
plans to launch a new internet only station featuring all

programmer/personality Cliff Treadway will host a nightly
live syndicated show for the WAY FM Media Group and the
Christian Hit Radio Satellite Network beginning sometime in
January. Also at WAY-FM Marcia Ware takes a 3-4 week leave
of absence for medical reasons. Ace McKay will fill in for

KSGN
Riverside is back on the air at low power after being off
the air for two days as a result of the fires in San
Bernardino County, CA. The fire struck the KSGN transmitter
site, destroying all equipment. Also hit by the fires was
K-Love's KLVJ Julian, CA that went off the air last Tuesday.

Integrity
Media announces its
third quarter 2003 net sales dropped 5.2% year-to-year to
$21.4 million, with net income flat at $1.4 million (23
cents/diluted share). President Michael Coleman blamed the
weakness in sales through the Christian bookstore channel
and piracy for weakness in revenues for the music division
but added that INO Records sales also dropped from $4.8 to
$3.7 million but had huge success with albums from MercyMe
and Sara Groves. (11/4)
