On
Monday August 4th, Amy Wilken will join TM Century
as PraiseDisc Manager. Wilken will manage the PraiseDisc
project which delivers Christian new releases every other
week to the over 1,800 radio stations in the United States
that program any type of Christian music. Wilken was most
recently the National Promotions Director for Christian
independent label - Razed Records. Eve Mayer Orsburn,
Director of Special Projects, explained: "The experience Amy
Wilken brings to the PraiseDisc product is invaluable. She
understands the challenges both major and independent record
labels face. She understands how to service Christian radio
effectively." "Due to the huge response we have received
from Christian record labels and radio stations since we

bring someone in to focus solely on PraiseDisc giving it the

David Graupner. PraiseDisc 002 is hitting stations this
week. The PraiseDisc service, which is free to U.S. radio
stations, numerous syndicated shows, and several Sunday
Morning shows on secular stations, covers new music releases
in Christian music format genres...including Rock, CHR, AC,
Inspirational, and Gospel. PraiseDisc, a label/artist
supported service, includes releases from all the major and
many minor record labels in addition to releases from
independent artists. The PraiseDisc service also includes
a section on the TM Century website with a fully searchable
database, liner notes for each song and links to artist and

The
GMA is making changes to the Dove Awards categories,
including the addition of a Worship Song of the Year
category. The Pop/Contemporary awards will be divided into
two separate categories for both album and song groupings.
The new categories will be called Pop/Contemporary and
Rock/Contemporary. The Hard Music and Modern
Rock/Alternative categories will be combined into one
category called Modern Rock. Also, Dance will be dropped
from the Rap/Hip-Hop/Dance category and moved into the

Finalists
for the NAB Marconi Radio Awards competition have been
selected. Established in 1989 and named after inventor
and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the Marconi Awards
are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air
personalities to recognize excellence in radio.
Winners in each category will be announced October 2nd at
the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show at the
Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Nina Williams is the new
VP/Marketing for Provident Label Group. She was previously
with Essential Records and will report to Dean Diehl.
Andrew Patton lands
the VP National Promotion position at the Provident Label
group and will oversee all Essential and Reunion Records
project effective July 28th.
Meanwhile
Lori Cline is upped to Director National Promotions at Word
filling the vacancy left by Pattons departure earlier this

Meltdown from The Christian Hit Radio Satellite Network.

Family Radio has partnered with Compassion International to
get 1200 children sponsored within the next year. Compassion
recently accepted the 500,000th child into their
program, seven-year old Irma from Guatemala. American Family
Radio has chosen to sponsor Irma as their child and to help
celebrate the half-a-million children milestone, they are
presenting the Guatemala Mission Adventure Giveaway.
Listeners will be given chances on-air and online to win a
Compassion Adventure Pack filled with prizes and
qualify in a drawing for a mission adventure in Guatemala.
The winner will travel to Guatemala to meet Irma and see

Nashville APD/MD Ace McKay will transfer to Tallahassee to
become PD of the new WAYT . WAY-FM Network Program Director

him to pursue his passion, take his ministry career to the
next level, and strengthen his already fine leadership.
