Nashville-based talent booking company, The Breen Agency
(TBA) is launching a new venture with the Independent Artist
Agency (IAA), a division that will represent over 20 of the
countries most sought after independent artists. The unique
division was launched on the internet November 15th
As of January 1, 2004 TBA added full time agent Elaine
Starkey to the staff in an effort to bring focus to the
success of IAA. Her role will include booking shows with
outgoing efforts and fielding incoming calls as well as
developing relationships with

The
Christian Hit Radio Satellite Network (CHRSN) has launched a
new night show that is now available to radio stations all
over the US. Total Axxess, hosted by Cliff Tredway, is now
available through CHRSN. “We want to give listeners Total
Axxess (pronounced access) to the artists; to talk with
them, and to let them hear the stories behind the songs,”
says program host Cliff Tredway. “It’s a completely new
show with lots of listener interaction and fun! There is
nothing like Total Axxess in Christian radio.” “I
believe Cliff Tredway is the right host for Total Axxess,”
says CHRSN Network PD Doug Hannah. “His 21 years experience
in both Christian and General Market radio, along with his
incredible on-air energy will bring a fresh sound to any
station.” According to Faron Dice, CHRSN affiliate manager,
“Total Axxess will give every radio station in the country a
chance to have Christian music artists on the air on a
regular basis, without giving up their local identity. More
importantly, it gives them a chance to improve their night

Palm Beach celebrated their entering a 25 year of
partnership with Moody Broadcasting Network serving south
Florida with a kick off event called "An Evening with
Ken Davis at Spanish River Church" which included serving

WAY-FM
Media Group will be signing on new locally-staffed FM
stations in Denver, Tallahassee and *Wichita during this
first quarter of 2004. Bob Augsburg, President and Founder
of WAY-FM announced, “Our Board is committed to an
aggressive expansion program which includes purchasing
existing stations to reach more lives for Christ. We
recently purchased two stations in the Northwest, and
pending FCC’s approval, we will be purchasing KZZD-FM
Wichita in the Midwest. We are now in a position to look at
other station opportunities as well.” WAY-FM announced last
summer a four-year vision that is driving the expansion
efforts. Vision 20:1 is focused on reaching a total
population of 20 million by 2007 and a weekly cume of 1

to insert a new defibrillator. It is expected that
Normanwill need another prodecure in the near future. His

programming a local afternoon drive show called "The Driving
It Home Show" weekdays. The show is hosted by Wes Johnson

A
court has made a decsion on use of the name "Gospel Music
Hall of Fame". The Gospel Music Association and an urban
gospel organization out of Detroit have battled over the
rights to the name for about two years. The court decided
that the Nashville-based Hall will be called the GMA Gospel
Music Hall of Fame, while the Detroit-based group will call
their facility the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame &
Museum. The GMA has been using since 1971 with its first
class of inductees, but never registered the appropriate

Gospel
music sales rebounded in the second half of 2003, giving the
industry reason to be optimistic for 2004, announced John W.
Styll, president of the Gospel Music Association (GMA). In
the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, sales of
gospel music grew four percent. The last week of the year
saw a 20 percent increase over the last week of the year in
2002. Pop Gospel was the style of music that sold the most
records with 19.4 percent of sales, followed closely by
Black Gospel with 17.9 percent, rock with 14.9 percent and
Praise & Worship with 11.1 percent. Click
