All Christmas All The Time: WRVI/Louisville is now airing an All-Christmas format and will be locally programmed after Christmas according to PD CC Matthews... WFHM/Cleveland is the only station in the market with an All-Christmas music format... (11/25)


"FaithTalk Magazine" from Salem Communications will become a quarterly publication in 2004, the second expansion since its inception two years ago.  President of Non-Broadcast Media for Salem Jim Cumbee says "The explosive launch of 'FaithTalk Magazine' has been gratifying and exciting." (11/25)


KKJM/St Cloud PD Scott Michaels reports to HisAir.Net about some changes at his station. The station will now be known as "Spirit 92.9" and air all Christmas Music thru Christmas Day backed by a 90 showing on local billboards. After Christmas KKJM music will be programmed locally instead of from the Salem Music Network. Also the stations morning show will now begin at 5am. (11/24)

Former Seagram and Universal Music head Edgar Bronfman, Jr. and an investor group including Thomas H. Lee equity firm, Providence Equity Partners, and Bain Capital, has reached a deal to purchase Warner Music Group for $2.6 billion in cash and other considerations from Time Warner, Inc., according to a Warner Music Group press release.  The deal would create one of the world’s largest independent music companies. Warner Music Group is home to Atlantic and Elektra Records, Word Entertainment, and Warner/Chappell Music, one of the industry’s largest music publishing companies with more than one million copyrights. STAR 99.1/New York's rings in the holidays with all Christmas music beginning Thanksgiving afternoon. "People love the Christmas season and at STAR 99.1, we believe every day should be Christmas!" says Program Director and Morning Show host, Johnny Stone.  Christmas is traditionally known as the "Season of Giving" and Stone
will be getting a head start on that by giving his time serving Thanksgiving dinner at the New York Rescue Mission in New York City. (11/21)

Tidbits: Steven Curtis Chapman grabbed the American Music Award for Favorite Artist -- Contemporary Inspirational Music on Sunday night. He also was a presenter during the show. Chapman beat out other nominees including Third Day and MercyMe... American Idol second runner-up Kimberley Locke has signed a recording contract with Curb Records. Her first national release will be titled "8th World Wonder" and will be out sometime next year... It was a sold out, standing room-only crowd when 100.7 The Bridge presented the Bay Area with one of the most acclaimed tours of 2003, featuring Jars of Clay, Caedmon’s Call, and opening act Steven Delopoulos on Saturday, November 8 in Castro Valley, CA... American Family Radio (AFR) plans a network wide Sharathon unlike any other for December 3-5. The Great Adventure Sharathon will include a 2,000 mile road tour that visits 8 of AFR's largest markets. Morning host JJ Jasper will headline the tour and will be joined on-air each morning by Kandi Anderson, manager of AFR station WAOY (Gulfport, MS). Judy Chapman (mother of Steven Curtis Chapman and a loyal AFR listener) will be on hand to help kick off the tour in her hometown of Paducah, KY on Monday, December 1st. Other cities on the tour include Topeka and Wichita, KS, Lawton, OK, Houston, TX, Lake Charles and Lafayette, LA. The five day tour ends on Friday, December 5th in Little Rock, AR. Each stop will include a listener rally and lots of give away's. Christian music artist Allan Asbury will also be in studio for the American Family Radio sharathon December 3rd-5th. (11/19)


WFFH-WFFI/Nashville has decided to air all Christmas music (except morning drive) from November 26th thru Christmas. The "Fish" also plans to launch a new internet only station featuring all Christmas music. (11/18)


Bob Emery exits the GM position and is now the Business Development Director at WFZH "The Fish" and WRRD-AM Milwaukee. Salem appoints WFSH/Chicago GM Dave Santrella to oversee the 2 Milwaukee stations. (11/14)


It's official former WZFS/Chicago and Air 1 programmer/personality Cliff Treadway will host a nightly live syndicated show for the WAY FM Media Group and the Christian Hit Radio Satellite Network beginning sometime in January. Also at WAY-FM Marcia Ware takes a 3-4 week leave of absence for medical reasons. Ace McKay will fill in for Marcia. (11/13)



The GMA has confirmed Ken Blanchard as a keynote speaker for GMA Week 2004. Blanchard is author of "The One Minute Manager" and Chief Spiritual Officer of The Ken Blanchard Companies. (11/13)

Theresa Murtland joins the WCTL/Erie morning show "The Good Guys In The Morning" with Ron Raymond and Mark Bradley. Murtland had previously been at WJET-TV/Erie. (11/12)

Joe Standish is upped to Music Director at KSLT "Real Life Radio" Rapid City, SD. Joe has been with the station since 2001 joining as a volunteer during a Sharathon ’01, and has been handling PM drive duties for over a year now. Jon anderson continues as PD and morning drive personality. (11/11)


Michele Morgan is promoted to Music Assistant at the Air 1 Radio Network. Michele will continue her midday airshift at Air 1. (11/10)


Tidbits: KAYK Victoria, TX an American Family Radio station boosts it's power from 1kw to 50kw. In addition new AFR affiliate KZFT Beaumont hit the air Oct. 31st with a 35kw signa. With these  additions American Family Radio now has continuous coverage on Interstate 10 from Victoria, Texas to Houston to Beaumont to Lake Charles to Gulfport and Mobile. And AFR's KAXF Houston/Conroe will celebrate their Watts-Up Party with more than 20 bands celebrating the recent increase in wattage from 28k to 100k.  ... WPRJ Saginaw will kill the overnight satellite service for all-local 24/7 Christian CHR programming... Stacie Orrico will appear in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and at the Rockefeller Center tree-lighting ceremony... ChristianNetcast.com picks up exclusive streaming services for KXOJ/Tulsa. KSGN Riverside is back on the air at low power after being off the air for two days as a result of the fires in San Bernardino County, CA. The fire struck the KSGN transmitter site, destroying all equipment. Also hit by the fires was K-Love's KLVJ Julian, CA that went off the air last Tuesday. (11/5)


Integrity Media announces its third quarter 2003 net sales dropped 5.2% year-to-year to $21.4 million, with net income flat at $1.4 million (23 cents/diluted share). President Michael Coleman blamed the weakness in sales through the Christian bookstore channel and piracy for weakness in revenues for the music division but added that INO Records sales also dropped from $4.8 to $3.7 million but had huge success with albums from MercyMe and Sara Groves.
