Today KTIS/Minneapolis is honoring and remembering the life of their founder, Rev. Billy Graham, by allowing listeners to share their stories and memories of America’s pastor. This weekend, 98.5 KTIS will share stories, memories, and heartfelt tributes to Rev. Billy Graham from various contemporary Christian artists, KTIS personalities, and listeners. You can download an exclusive version of Danny Gokey’s song using this link, “Hope in Front of Me,” which highlights the legacy of Rev. Billy Graham.

While he was the President of the Northwestern Schools (today the University of Northwestern – St. Paul), he organized students, faculty, and staff to fund and launch a Christian radio ministry here in the Twin Cities. In 1949, Billy Graham signed KTIS on the air, adding 98.5 KTIS, and all of Northwestern Media to his incredible legacy.

The Vice President of Northwestern Media Jason Sharp says, “If it weren’t for Rev. Billy Graham and his heart for the lost, Northwestern Media would not be in existence today.”
