Listener Services Representative (phone lead)

Do you love working with people? Do you love solving problems? Can you do both while maintaining exceptional phone etiquette and composure? Family Radio is seeking a seasoned Listener Services Representative to be our phone lead and listener champion.


Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the listener service representative will be a member of the frontline team that interacts with Family Radio’s listeners and sets the pace for all listener experiences with Family Radio. Your typical day-to-day responsibilities would consist of answering phones to field questions and requests from listeners; directing requests, emails, and voicemails to appropriate parties; and capturing everything in our CRM system.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming calls
  • Transfer calls to appropriate departments, taking messages as needed
  • Coordinate with all staff members regarding messaging and phone communication
  • Retrieve voicemail from three different lines, transcribe, make copies, and input into CRM
  • Separate correspondence by type and department
  • Reply to all complaints, comments, and requests for materials
  • Adhere to scheduled hours to ensure phone coverage is always available
  • Develop CRM skills and customer service etiquette
  • Work with volunteer staff members who wish to reach out to listeners
  • Perform additional duties as assigned



  • Associate of arts degree or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook experience
  • CRM/ERP/HR software experience (Workday, NAV, SAP – NAV preferred)
  • Three years customer service experience (call center preferred)
  • Minimum 40 WPM typing speed
